Summer 2011

Wow...it's a steamy Hot summer here in Houston, Texas!!! Even going out to water the yard and plants you break a sweat so we tend to spend alot more time indoors to stay cool! What a perfect time though to put on a new pair of glasses and really inventory your environment. Yes, look at your surroundings, the places where you spend your 24 hours each day (your home & office and even weather permitting your outdoor spaces). More than often our environments become a place holder for items that over time become "permanent fixtures" in your space. A permanent fixture by my definition would be items, accessories, stuff...that have been with us for awhile. We become so accustom to seeing them that they just disappear into the scenery. You don't notice them any longer yet with those are the items that once we put on the fresh pair of glasses we can SEE no longer work for us. Time for a summer make over!!! Don't feel bad because we all get there at one time or another. We simply just don't have time to do anything about it. That's why a design professional is so important. Design Tips

When conceptualizing a design scheme it's important to find one inspiration piece to use as the starting point for the concept. Find something that you just absolutely love and carry it with you at all times. This will be the piece that everything for your space will be developed around, be it a decorative pillow, piece of art, piece of fabric, decor item....you get the picture! Form follows Function and WOW follows inspiration!!!

Cost of Staging

Design concepts initial assessment visit is no charge. This is very important in determining the scope of work. After the assessment visit a consultation and/or installation fee is $75/Hour with a $150. minimum. Leasing items can be paid for in several different ways and at several different stages. They could be paid on an ongoing per month basis or start paying on a monthly basis at the end of the 3 months with the balance due at closing. Monthly charges vary depending on the scope but generally start at approximately $125./month.

Prior to going on an interview we "dress ourselves for success because we want to "put our best foot forward" and make a good first impression. Same theory should apply for your home or business. What a stager does is dress your home or business for success.
